like eleven days here in one.

I was going to wait until I got my computer back so that I could edit them a bit, but my patience is getting pretty thin. So here are even days, what is that? 49-59? Something like that.

49/365

This is Brad trying to diagnose my poor, poor computer. This was a humbling experience, because not even a week earlier, I was talking about how I’d dropped it down a flight of stairs and it was fine. It got back at me by attacking my foot and frying its brain :(

I had to order a new hard drive for it, so now I’m just waiting for a legit copy of Windows. So close…

50/365

Last Friday was another amazing day, and there’s nothing I like better on a beautiful day than driving. So I took a drive out to Multnomah Falls. Such a great day!

51/365

True story, I almost forgot the whole picture thing last Saturday. So I gathered some of the things my mom had brought me from Hawaii – two awesome pearl necklaces, a coral necklace, a turtle bead, and a copy of something my dad drew. Love it all!

52/365

Another gorgeous day. Took a walk down by the river.

53/365

Writing. By hand. A ridiculous amount. A surprising feat.

54/365

Belated birthday flowers for my mom. Pretty, and they smell good, but I’m glad people don’t buy me flowers. Overrated.

55/365

Betsy and I went to Ikea to look for a bookshelf. She really liked this table. Then she found out the drawer opened. I took a picture of this moment.

56/365

Put down a deposit for an apartment in Olympia on Thursday. This is the view…that some of the apartments have, not mine. Ha. Still pretty, though.

57/365

Given that there were almost 200 pictures taken this past Friday evening, I settled on one taken before beer was consumed. This is Mel, explaining to us the signs of fish diseases.

58/365

Packing. I hate packing. Funny story, I tried to fit all my books into one of those big boxes on the bottom. They mostly fit, into neat little rows, too. Then I taped it up and tried to push it out into the hall. Then I had to untape it and split the books into four different boxes. Which were still incredibly hard to move.

59/365

Powell’s and putt putt golfing with Bekka, Dominic, and Betsy. I lost, terribly. That guy won. Stupid Dominic!

OK and now we’re caught up! I should get my computer back tomorrow. I hope I hope I hoooooope.

FYI

I was taking my laptop upstairs the other day when it fell from myhands and attacked my foot. Little did it know, however, that by playing that move, rather than breaking my toes, it contributed to the death of its own brain.

That’s right. The hard drive died in its attempt to break my toes. Ha! Foiled again!

….this also means that it’ll be a good 4-8 days until I post any pictures. Just so you know.

Iced coffee!

48/365

Today was even more beautiful than yesterday, so I decided that I needed to indulge in an iced coffee – my summer drink. I knew going in that it was a a bad idea, mostly because I know that by ordering it, I’m tricking myself into thinking that summer’s coming soon.

It’s not. I hate February. It is the longest month of the year, which is why they made it so short. Trust me, I know these things.

Officer’s Row.

47/365

I was having kind of a weird day. I haven’t been able to focus, so I decided to go to the library. It was a gorgeous day, and I had to roll my windows down on the way. “Dare” by The Gorillaz was on the radio, so I had to turn it up. It felt like summer! Beautiful day, good music, and cruising with the windows down…I passed right through my exit and made it to downtown Portland before turning around and heading back to the library.

I actually got some stuff done at the library for the first hour or two. And then I started getting antsy. Crazy antsy. Twitchy, insane, crazy antsy. After taking weird pictures of myself, I decided to leave and take a walk down Officer’s Row in Vancouver.

This is crazy. I’ve lived in Vancouver for 23 out of 24 years of my life, and I have never been to Fort Vancouver, or the fields outside Officer’s Row. Not even on field trips. One of these days, I’ll have to go explore the Fort itself.

This tree really interested me. I was about to turn back and go to the car, since my feet were soaked, when I spotted it. It’s just so interesting…I can’t wait until the leaves start growing. For real.
